Summary of the Meeting:

1.GA Tidbits (5 mins)
•World: Tomorrow, the super blood moon will be visible
•Local: Tomorrow is the deadline for filing for the civil service examination
•UP: BOR appoints 5 UP officials for University Librarian, UPLB Dean, UP Law dean, 2 UP Visayas deans
•Random: Bruno Mars wins 7 Grammy awards

2.Org Fair Updates c/o Paje (5 mins)
•Paje: Tomorrow is org fair, but we have a few concerns like we cannot use the SE Walkway. We’ll be using the walkways in front of the lounge instead.
•Je: Kayla’s concern is it might be loud if there’s class in that area.
•Howie: I know there aren’t classes on Wednesday and Friday lunch.
•Paje; There will be a simple program at 11:30 with free ice cream and yum burgers for the first 100 people, so if you’re free, please make sure you’re going to be there.
•Paje: There will be a Council booth, so please make sure you sign up for shifts to be posted by Bets later. Ingress is at 9am. Who has an amp and mic?
•Kevin: I have.
•Paje: For SIDHI, we’re releasing a pub tonight which is a call for a SIDHI editor in choef. They can sign up through the google form. We’re not gonna do everything online since we’re holding interviews for those who apply.
•Ian: How can we help in recruiting?
•Paje: Please share the pub and hatak people to join. Make it a big deal since it’s an EIC position.
•Ian: What’s the level of commitment?
•Paje: They’re pretty much starting up the org. We’re just helping its structure, but the vision is up to them.
•Howie: The goal if ever is for the org to be able to stand on its own by the end of this sem. Paje, please make guide questions for it.

3.Econ Rep Updates c/o Ian (5 mins)
•Ian: Econcepts TRAIN was released a few nights ago.
•Howie: Did anyone react violently?
•Ian: None since it was very neutral. There was one though that commented about how it had no arguments but it’s okay since it’s only been about
•Ian: I’d want to thank Joaquin and Ian Jorge for the infographs as well as Hanna and JC for the content.
•Ian: We’re releasing an Econsult still about TRAIN on Thursday with a google form. I’m looking into having FGDs regarding this. I was thinking of having it here in the Council Room and inviting the orgs through a pub. What do you guys think?
•Iyla: So after, we’ll have an output and stand-making?
•Ian: Yes since at least in an FGD, it’s not limited like the google form. Here, there are rebuttals and an exchange.
•Ian: There will be a financial transparency campaign. I’m meeting with the technical working group which is made of BAC, JPIA, ETC and USC.
•Ian: Lastly, Duterte Watch is going to be released soon. The Econ Rep core has already started on the research. The first release will be the economic performance of Duterte in 2017. The core has already given content and ready to be put into the pub. We just need to fix the branding with Joaquin.
•Howie: Yael just posted regarding donations for those near the Mayon volcano. Most likely, LCC will be posting a pub with drop off points in each college. Please make sure to share the pub. I just need someone to buy a box.
•Josh: I can buy it.

4.Econ Week Updates c/o Jolo (5 mins)
•Jolo: There’ll be an Econ Week GA this Thursday at 5pm. I’ll update you guys for the venue. It’s open to everyone. For Cams, Kevin and Joaquin, you guys have a presentation part regarding your plans, team charter and updates so far as a director. I’m expecting attendance for those who are needed. Batch reps, at least one needs to be there.
•Kevin: We have a partnered event on Thursday, so we need to make sure people still go there.

5.Tuklas Updates c/o Josh (5 mins)
•Josh: As of now, we have 9 NGOs: Ahon Sa Hirap, Amnesty International, Earth Day Network, Virlanie, Philippine Red Cross, UP Flyers, World Youth Alliance, World Vision Development Foundation. We have 9 student org partners and one sponsor so far, Diana Stalder DermaLine. My target this sem is to have around 10 since we aren’t using the walkway, but if we use the walkway, we can aim for 15.
•Josh: We’ll be having shifts. You just need to sign up for 1.

6.Magna Carta Lobbying Updates c/o Josh (5 mins)
•Josh: We have a meeting on Feb 6, 12pm. Who can go?
Ian, Iyla, Howie, Je
•Josh: We have another one on Feb 7, 3pm. Who can go?
Jolo, Bets, Josh
•Howie: You can ask someone from DRW to go too.
•Josh: I still have to schedule one more, and we’ll be done.

7.Other matters
•Howie: Let’s support ETC’s CM launch on Thursday, lunch time.
