On the Davao Bombing Incident By UP SESC | September 4, 2016
On the night of September 2, Friday, an IED was detonated in the midst of an ongoing night market along Roxas Boulevard, Davao city, leading to the death of many and injury of even more.
In the face of such grief and despair brought about by an act of utter violence, we stand in sorrow and solidarity with the victims of the bombing and the families they have left behind.
Though no words or actions may ever truly soothe the pain of loss caused by this tragic event, we as a people grieve with our fellow brothers and sisters nonetheless.
Let us hope that this mournful event would be the last of its kind, that we may remain vigilant and strong in these most trying of times, that we continue to foster love and acceptance as we strive for lasting peace.
