Kiss: Cha was asking who the point person is if ever they have questions. Lem: They’re just having difficulty getting the money, they haven’t remitted money yet. RVC opted not to give a video tribute for the personnel. All the orgs will give tokens to the personnel, in addition to the token that my Core will give.
- Lem: The program is already done. My Core handled it. Food is already handled.
- Lem: What I need is help w/ the sound system. Howie: Just tell Mang Claudio, he knows that na. Carlos: To be safe, Howie bring your speaker.
- Carlos: Is there going to be publicity for this? Lem: I opted not to have online publicity because the target is the personnel.
- BRA Outreach
- Trina: Final na yung Nov. 7. And Marianne said that she'll talk muna to the ExeComm. That's a Monday
- Most likely, we are gonna be incharge of logistics and transpo
- Kape updates
- Jem: There are two orgs na nag-confirm na as major partners. We're trying to get Krem Top for Coffee. Would anyone know if pwede mag benta ng food sa venue?
- Carlos: Ang alam ko, kailangan muna ng permission from the administration.
- Jem: They started sending na the speaker invites two nights ago. We're just waiting for the main pub na lang.
- They also asked Ma'am Magno and Ma'am Arandia to discuss the budget aspect of UP
- Chito: Naghihintay pala ang USC ng list of speakers before mag-continue
- They also asked Ma'am Magno and Ma'am Arandia to discuss the budget aspect of UP
- Bulletin Board Updates
By the end of the week sana, makapagbigay na ng pictures ng Core.
- Carlos: So when can we start making dikit the stuff there?
- Carlos: I think okay ang Monday morning.
- Carlos: Also for LCC GA, medyo surprise na raw na mga people for the Seal of Good Governance pagdating sa inspection
By the end of the week sana, makapagbigay na ng pictures ng Core.

- Carlos:Sana ma-docu rin natin 'to Tin
- STRAW Updates
- Howie: So, STRAW Fair na tomorrow. Ingress is at 8am tomorrow, and by 4:30pm ang egress. We have amnesty international, autism society philippines, rainbow rights project, inc., U!happy events, and Gawad Kalinga. May makakpagdala ba ng tables tomorrow?
- Yes: Earl and TRina
- Howie: Tapos since magkakaroon ng tickets, nakabili na ako ng gift certificates sa starbucks, PHP100 each.
- Carlos: Also, for the Ecosoc people who finish their tickets, you get 0.5 counts for CDC
- Howie: Can I also ask BRA to brig about this for tomorrow. Also, habitat for humanity will join on friday
- Howie: Ecosoc have signed on to be a partner. So our partners are OBEM and Ecosoc.
- Howie: Sa library, binago na 'yung seating layout, from 4 to 2. Siguro let's do our part na rin in making sure that the library is silent.
- Trina: There are some people saying na konti lang 'yung upuan so parang may kinalaman sa students' welfare raw nila.
- Carlos: So, do you want to suggest na gawin na lang siyang dalawahan lahat?
- Carlos: What do you think is a student-centered action regarding this issue?
If you make it four, they're gonna complain about noise, but if it's two, they're gonna complain that they can't make noise.
- Carlos: For now, Howie, let's talk to the library and suggest them to bring back the two-seats-per-table plan.
- Carlos: In the meantime, let's invite the students to send their concerns to Howie, especially if it concerns library
- Carlos: As for the backparking issue, I think we can talk to the Law Student Government about it since marami ring mga Law ang nag pa-park sa Econ backparking
- We Want Space Campaign
So the LCC was thinking it could be an LCC-wide issue. The goal is to help all organizations that need student space. I just want to ask if we're okay with this?
- Jem: I'm not sure, since given the Admin just gave us a new tambayan, we can be viewed as 'ungrateful'
- Carlos: Well, they said that we can make our own statement about it.
- Paje: For example, since if we're an Econ org, we don't just get spaces in Econ or BA lang eh, we also get space in the University.
- Jem: We just have to make sure that the statement doesn't come off as an attack on how Econ is helping or not helping us regarding this.
- Trina: Which college spearheaded this?
- Carlos: CAL, CSSP, Eng'g, SLIS and other orgs in the area.
- Consensus: We're joining the campaign
So the LCC was thinking it could be an LCC-wide issue. The goal is to help all organizations that need student space. I just want to ask if we're okay with this?
- Lakbayan 2016
- Chito: If you're aware, last year we had Manilakbayan. Now, we're gonna have a month-long camp and activities and open rin siya for visiting.
- Carlos: Lakbayan is about fighting for the rights of the indigenous people. It's also a campaign about being against extra-judicial killings and also the neo-liberal education sa UP. In terms of events, tomorrow Oct 6, merong Stop Lumad Killings Assembly. For October 1-12, merong Camp Building, beside the Fine Arts Building. For October 13, there's gonna be a walkout. On oct 14, we have cultural programs. 15-16 educational discussions in the camp itself. 18-20 basic mass integrations. oct 21 mass mobilization in mendiola. i'd like to here your thoughts about this
- Kiss: You mentioned three stances of this initiative. Does SESC have a stance about the STS? Kasi if we don't agree to the free tuition, bakit tayo makikipagpartner?
- Gabbi: Did you ask the organizers bakit may gano'n aspect sa Lakbayan?
- Carlos: Well, pinasadahan lang kasi nila 'yun at the time. We can ask the USC and the network about it, and also the matter of having a conflict on some of the terms ng partnerships.
- Consensus: Clarify first the terms of the partnership
- Mid-semester evaluation
- Pat: We have to schedule it within the month. Do you prefer a whole-day affair or overnight thing.
- Do you want it within the week or weekend?
□ Week: 0
□ Weekend:17
- Do you want it within the week or weekend?
- Carlos: I'd rather have uncertainty because of exams than picking on a date na sure may hindi makakapunta, since it's important that every one should be there, since d'un natin malalaman 'yung room for improvement pa. So personally, I don't want to have a midsem evaluation na may wala.
- Consensus: Oct. 14 ang midsem evaluation
- Consensus: Midsem evaluation will be at Paje's House
- Carlos: We need to discuss the internal evaluation and also an external evaluation, the latter coming from students of UPSE, including events, services, campaigns, information dissemination, batch initiatives, and how SESC has worked so far. What I need from all of you are the events, initiatives, and campaigns that you have by this Friday, October 7, 2016
- Paje: Like, what if we put up a booth on where they could answer this questionnaire?
- Carlos: I think that's something that we can do about the dissemination. But I would like you to show some results from our respondents. *shows graphs* As you can see, a lot of the response is 'N/A' meaning that they haven't attended or they don't know the events of SESC. I think we should cover as much representation is students as posible.
- Pat: We have to schedule it within the month. Do you prefer a whole-day affair or overnight thing.
