- Kiss: The most important person to know here is Dean Amado Castro, since he is the first dean of the School. What we have to do is go around and remind people to vote and be friendly to all.
- Carlos: May I request everyone to have a call time of 2:00pm for orientation. Please wear the Council shirt. For the batch reps, we have to find a way to make hatak the people.
*Andaya leaves 5:17pm*
- Lantern Parade
- Kiss: WE already release the pubmat for the lantern design competition. Please share it to your friends and alumni of the school. The deadline is November 4, at 11:59pm.
- Aaron: What if they ask help from an Arki person, can they credit them naman?
- Kiss: They can be credited but it has to be registered under an Econ person.
- Kiss: WE already release the pubmat for the lantern design competition. Please share it to your friends and alumni of the school. The deadline is November 4, at 11:59pm.
- Schoolympics
- Carlos: Due to the time constraints, Schoolympics will be moved na to next sem. Also next October 27, Earl will hold tryouts for DilGames.
- Tin: Next sem, plan ko na mag-join kami ni Earl for a calligraphy session.
- Kapekonomiya Updates
- Jem: Kape has four confirmed speakers na: Jaime Caro, Shaira Cledera, Ernesto Sonido, Jr., and Stephen Co's associate will be speaking, though it is still not confirmed kung sino.
- Jem: We have USC, Kaisa, Alyansa, BAC, NCPAG SC, and Ecosoc. Wala pang confirmation from either UPIC and OBEM. We also have Alska Kremtop as our coffee and they will give coffee on Kape. The expenses will be split between SESC and ETC, totalling Php7,000. To remind you guys, please go there since it's Council required event. We're hoping that you can handle registration. We'll posting the finalized program flow by the weekend. For the economic analysis, a lot of the profs have suggested Toby Monsod.
- Tin: I will send a new version of the pubmat
- Paje: That's good, since we're still waiting on one of the logos of an organization.
- Chito: What about security?
- Paje: We have submitted all the forms for security at the OVCCA.
- Jem: This will be on October 27, please wear your Council Shirts.
- Thesis Consultation
- Aaron: Hindi siya natuloy since only Sir Capuno confirmed of all the speakers approached. Siguro the most immediate thing that we can do is come up with a form where they can give their concerns and help communicate it with a professor.
- Carlos: Maybe we can email the profs when they hold their consultation hours and compile that to people.
- Carlos: I think we can ask the profs for a one-off consultation for the thesis pairs. If they give a set number, eh di let's cross that bridge when we get there.
- Consensus: Ask the professors if they're willing or open to consultations, and publish their research interests and consultation hours to UPSE.
- Aaron: Hindi siya natuloy since only Sir Capuno confirmed of all the speakers approached. Siguro the most immediate thing that we can do is come up with a form where they can give their concerns and help communicate it with a professor.
- STRAW Updates
- For Break the Stigma
- Good points: It was well-attended. The pubmat reached a lot in just a night, with four thousand reach.
- Bad points: Wala akong org partnerships and I moved it so many times, so planning could've been better.
- Aaron: I think it would've been better to have incentives from Psych 101 classes. I also think that we can promote the advocacy of mental health through the OCG.
- Jem: For me, it's a good springboard to have a follow-up for this. Not to say that we have another intention, I think it can be great for external branding if we follow-through with this.
- Howie: I told my Core to follow-through with this.
- Tin: For me, I think ang ganda 'nung first speaker, since na-catch talaga niya 'yung attention ng people. But for the second part, medyo mema siya. Siguro we can get people that can really talk about the topic.
- Carlos: Howie, did you give them guide questions for them to answer?
- Howie: No
- Carlos: Siguro next time, we can give
- Josh: I think next time we can get a victim and talk about their experience.
- Pat: For that, I think we can partner with Paje for Humans of UPSE, where we can show that some people are actually undergoing that
- Bets: I think we can ask OCG if there are any people that used the service for mental health.
- Jem: Siguro better if we get statistics instead.
- For Break the Stigma
- Other Concerns
- Howie: I've placed the donations box near the Encarnacion bust. People can just place their donations there. For monetary donations, they can just approach me.
- Howie: For all the bidets of the first floor, I was able to check them and they're working naman, though hindi ko na-check 'yung sa library.
- Howie: For repubbing of DearSTRAW, I think Saturday morning is fine.
- Howie: For the medicine kit, ire-refill ko na lang through Pat.
- Howie: For the contingency plan na naka-dikit sa pinto, nahanap ko na 'yung photo sa GDrive. Ipo-post sa Facebook para makita ng maraming people.
- Financial Records and IGPs
- *Comendador arrives 5:54pm*
- Carlos: How much cash on hand do we have?
- Joel: Php 6,285, though hindi pa accounted yung STRAW DG, the Schoolympics payables
- [Please consult the Financial Statement released on upsesc.com]
- Joel: For the IGPs, next week we'll have food sales. As of now, we plan to have milk tea and coffee jelly like the one offered in Dagohoy. We'll also have a rummage sale in December
*Morada leaves 5:59 pm*
- Lakbayan
- Chito: So tomorrow 4:30 pm, we'll have a kind of immersion sa Kampuhan mismo sa CMO. Tapos I'll post tonight para mag-invite ng SEAC.
- Carlos: Is it possible to invite the UPSE people?
- Jem: I think we can do that through batch brigs
- Consensus: Encourage everyone to meet at Econ and walk to Kampuhan, assemble by 4:00pm and, realistically, walk to Kampuhan by 4:30pm
- Carlos: Is there anything we need to bring?
- Chito: Basta 'wag lang mag-donate ng Nestlé products.
- Carlos: I think because there was exploitation with the plants of Nestlé.
- Chito: So tomorrow 4:30 pm, we'll have a kind of immersion sa Kampuhan mismo sa CMO. Tapos I'll post tonight para mag-invite ng SEAC.
