Thank you for the support, especially sa batch rep alliance.

[Motion] EJ: Motion to extend by two minutes
Haqq: I second the motion.
Cami: I’d like to congratulate Shin and EJ. Nagulat ako na nagging super efficient and successful ng event even though there were some last minute changes. The speaker was really good in answering the questions.
Andi: Although it was announced relatively late, I think that it was a good timeslot na kasi we had a lot of people. For future talks, maybe we can ask the speakers to give their own bionote so we can just read it. Super proud for us being able to get high council attendance, like around 2/3 of the council or more. Moving forward, let’s support everyone’s events.
Core GA Evals (c/o Chair) - 5 min
STRENGTHS
WEAKNESSES
OPPORTUNITIES
THREATS
Mitch: Sense na lang if kakayanin nating magkaroon pa ng isa pang Core GA this sem.
Mario: Sense if kaya and see na if not feasible maybe we can have other alternatives. Require each core to have their own bonding activities. Fast program na lang rin para hindi nakakapagod.
[Motion] Shin: Motion to extend by two minutes
Mario: I second the motion.
Shin: Congrats on the event. Same comments as Mario. What I noticed lang in the past three years that I’ve been part of council, ang hirap talaga magka-second core GA kasi everyone’s usually busy na. Baka pwede nating gawin na hybrid na may interactive activities na sa first core GA pa lang.
Andi: If may demand for a core GA, maybe we can try scheduling it. If not, we can look at other alternatives naman as Mario has stated.
E-Store Giveaway Evals (c/o M&P) - 5 min
STRENGTHS
WEAKNESSES
OPPORTUNITIES
THREATS
Shin: ‘Pag may partnerships ba tayo, if ever baka kayang mag-generate rin ng follows through partnership packages? Continue the streak nila Haqq ng growing number of followers
Andi: We posted in the middle of the day, compared to when we post at night. Maybe we can post at night rin when a lot of people are online to gain more traction.
Mitch: Post ‘yong mechanics na rin para it’s clearer for everyone na makakakita.
STRAW Updates (c/o Straw-Sec) - 5 min
Last week, I received a grievance regarding the crediting of courses.
GRIEVANCE
MOVING FORWARD
[MOTION] Shin: Motion to extend by 5 minutes.
EJ: I second the motion.
Shin: Nasama sa case namin was someone who took it the same sem as the alumni. RVC told me na Abrenica was willing to appeal. Ilan sa amin ‘yong kailangan mag-overload just to take the EDH course. I am yet to receive an update from RVC.
Mario: With regards to the USC, I am updating them now regarding our issue.
Andi: Update us na lang Steph and Mario. Thank you!
Partnership Proposals (c/o WaM) - 10 min
E-STORE
PARTNERSHIPS
Other Matters - 10 min
[ECON REP] Mario: ECONsult deadline Sunday. Nahihirapan BRA so for now can we tap into our different friend groups.
[STRAW] Shin: Nag-reply na si Hazel right now. So now wala pang update from Ma’am Abrenica, somewhere at the end of March pa.
[SESC] Jaro: Question to everyone, hindi ba tayo magse-sense sa batches or decide if we’re going to nominate or endorse ng dean. Kasi important na maka-estudyante ‘yong dean. Baka lang nami-miss out natin.
Andi: I was about to raise this. Recently, I asked BRA to share the pubs calling for applications for UPSE deanship. Are you willing to nominate people?
Emman: Pwede nating gawing standmaking ‘to. Baka pwedeng ASEO, consult rin ‘yong orgs para makuha natin buong pulso ng econ.
Andi: This is going to be a council initiative and our roots are through BRA or ASEO.
Third: I’m not familiar with the process but how exactly do we know kung sino willing and kung sino pwedeng i-endorse?
Andi: Usually they’ll release a list of people who were nominated for the deanship, other than that we can also endorse members of the faculty.
Jaro: April 12 they’re going to have a public forum to present the nominees, so that’s when we get to find out. Sinabi ni Andi, the nominee need not be a faculty member, should he/she be appointed, he/she should have a faculty appointment.
Emman: I think what we can do is list what students want to see sa susunod na dean.
Andi: that’ll plan B if we can’t settle for a nominee.
Mario: Maybe pwedeng i-frame ‘yong ECONsult as a platform to raise student concerns rin. I’m all for endorsing a nominee.
Emman: Gaano katagal term ng dean?
Jaro: 3 years. Siguro we can release a statement na lang na this is what we want with regards to our dean.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E N D --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Pubs for rec week have already been released.
- UP ETC and UP CG pubs have been released yesterday.
- Teaser has been released. SE-RVC no video because historically, the organization does not release app materials for recweek.
- Thank you Haqq, Kyla, and core for the vid! Poster pub to be done by M&P.
- Ishe-share natin ‘yon sa mga batch GCs natin. Ishe-share ‘yong mga videos, call of applications, and SESC video.
*Councilor Gaba and SoBR Jovellanos enters 5:35*
Andi: Everyone should share recweek pubs. We don’t want the efforts of VC and M&P to go to waste lang.
Job Hunt Essentials Talk Evals (c/o SeBreps) - 5 min
Thank you for the support, especially sa batch rep alliance.
STRENGTHS
- The speaker has great experience and was able to impart a lot of knowledge
- Sensing was important with making decisions regarding the event and helped us foresee the number of attendees
- Super thankful rin na maraming lower batches na gusto mag-join in
- The seminar was unique and value adding, people had a lot to learn from it
WEAKNESSES
- We had to pause more than a couple of times because of some connectivity issues, buti na lang the speaker had slides
- We were overtime by 10-15 minutes
- The schedule of the event clashed with other academic courses and requirements
OPPORTUNITIES
- We can probably hold the event again with the same speakers, we’re thinking of holding a similar event with other topics
- Okay na online because it’s important to market yourselves and ace interviews, very online based
- Besides HR na speaker, baka pwede na alumni from econ na makakapag-share ng tips to ensure that it works for econ people.
THREATS
- Zoom call fatigue, the number of the event keeps on fluctuating
[Motion] EJ: Motion to extend by two minutes
Haqq: I second the motion.
Cami: I’d like to congratulate Shin and EJ. Nagulat ako na nagging super efficient and successful ng event even though there were some last minute changes. The speaker was really good in answering the questions.

For future talks, maybe we can ask the speakers to give their own bionote so we can just read it. Super proud for us being able to get high council attendance, like around 2/3 of the council or more. Moving forward, let’s support everyone’s events.
Core GA Evals (c/o Chair) - 5 min
STRENGTHS
- Good attendance based on the sensing conducted
- We also started on time, most events we usually wait 10-15 minutes
- We also stayed within our schedule, overtime is only 3 minutes
WEAKNESSES
- Compared to last sem, we did not have time for ice breaker, from 1 hour and 30 minutes it was shortened to 1 hour because we had to move it due to NSTP
- Our presentation schedule got mixed up because of connectivity issues, at the end of the day this was something that we cannot avoid naman.
OPPORTUNITIES
- If we had more time in the future, more allowance for the presentations and it would be nice to have an icebreaker
- Another core GA more focused on team building, but that idea is usually suited for face to face classes, let me know if it’s possible
THREATS
- Internet problems
- Scheduling conflicts with classes and other academic requirements, but it’s good that we are able to adjust so everyone can go
Mitch: Sense na lang if kakayanin nating magkaroon pa ng isa pang Core GA this sem.
Mario: Sense if kaya and see na if not feasible maybe we can have other alternatives. Require each core to have their own bonding activities. Fast program na lang rin para hindi nakakapagod.

Andi: If may demand for a core GA, maybe we can try scheduling it. If not, we can look at other alternatives naman as Mario has stated.
E-Store Giveaway Evals (c/o M&P) - 5 min
STRENGTHS
- Good number of engagements/participants
- 60 new followers, now almost at 300
WEAKNESSES
- Delayed posting, pubs were supposed to be posted on Monday but we didn’t anymore because it would’ve been insensitive to the uvle issue
- Low engagement on the FB post (only reached 1,200+)
- Implementation of stricter guidelines probably would have widened the reach, e.g. only allowing the tagging of accounts who have not followed SESC yet
OPPORTUNITIES
- Greater IG following allows for greater reach and participation in events
- IG promotion of E-store Merchandise
THREATS
- Was supposed to be bumped on Sunday but coincided with the UVLE Online protest
- Complications in delivery
Shin: ‘Pag may partnerships ba tayo, if ever baka kayang mag-generate rin ng follows through partnership packages? Continue the streak nila Haqq ng growing number of followers
Andi: We posted in the middle of the day, compared to when we post at night. Maybe we can post at night rin when a lot of people are online to gain more traction.

STRAW Updates (c/o Straw-Sec) - 5 min
Last week, I received a grievance regarding the crediting of courses.
GRIEVANCE
- A student sent a grievance regarding taking courses with only the COI.
- It stated that some students were forced to take the prerequisite even though:
- They already have a COI from the professor
- Some alums have already taken the course with just the COI and were not barred from graduating by OUR
- I talked to RVC to know whether or not this is a new policy, they told me that it is not. A COI is only applicable to a single prerequisite course. Even if you do have COI for one of the prerequisite courses, as long as there is another that is not substitutable with COI, then you are barred from taking that course.
- I also talked to the alumni regarding the issue, and they confirmed that they were able to take the course with just the COI, which made the issue harder to actually resolve.
MOVING FORWARD
- Maybe we can clarify the different prerequisites with the batches because a COI is only applicable to a single prerequisite course. As long as there are other courses, you need to take all of them.
- Admin has already tried to appeal with the help of RVC, we’re just waiting for updates na lang with regards to what happened to it.
- We’re raising this issue to the USC c/o Councilor Quimbo to ensure that it’s addressed to the proper offices.

Partnership Proposals (c/o WaM) - 10 min
E-STORE
- Coordinated with my teammates with e-store, the products
will be shipped this week. - We will be coordinating with the winners.
- We’re starting to make the switch to Shopee. We had our first meeting with BRA for the donation drive. Lahat ng batch groups mayroon ng poll for the sensing para malaman natin ‘yong cost.
PARTNERSHIPS
- Ecosoc and JMA
- We are also going to be endorsing ‘yong Liwayway.
- About Tayo: CSV
- Tau Omega Mu
