BRA Outreach Updates (c/o WaM & JBreps) - 5 min
As for individual donations, 14,800 pesos na ‘yong donations na we were able to get. 35,000 onti na lang. And to think na hindi pa natin masydong nabu-bump ‘yong post. Thank you to Venice, Cla, Chabs, and Juls for all their help!
For everyone’s information, I am yet to coordinate with UPSEAA through Tito Bobby about this donation drive kasi naging busy tayo for the past weeks. This Saturday I will be sending the post na to them. I timed it rin kasi if weekday baka mahirap na since our alumni are working na.
Jaro: Available ‘yong master tracker. Every time of the day if you want to check. I try to update it real time para atleast the donors see that their donations reflect agad.
Andi: When is the target date of releasing?
Jaro: End of month of June. However, the x-deals we got from Pascual Lab will expire na around July-August so sinabi ko we can get the products and then distribute it na right away, similar to what we did last sem.
STRAW Updates + Admin Meeting Recap (c/o STRAW-Sec) - 15 min
Shin: I second the motion.
Andi: We will send a letter to the Dean on Friday. Whatever we get from the ECONsult, it will all be contextualized. As well as our recommendations on the guidelines regarding the academic ease e.g. no required synchronous classes. In addition to that, I wanted to raise then how you guys prefer to share this to the student body?
Third: Part of the protocols natin ay ang pag-update at the end of each week ‘yong mga nangyayari sa mga grievances so this week I’ll be including this na.
Partnership Proposals (c/o WaM) - 10 min
KALikha: #AtinAngPinas webinar
Jaro: Below 14, which is a good number kasi 7 ‘yong officers ko for partnerships management and 2 per teammate is light pa. I’ll be informing you naman if we have reached the cap na.
SEEB Updates (c/o Seeb Co-Chairs) - 5 mins
SEEB cover photo has been changed. Call for applicants have already been released. Thank you to Council and core for sharing.
We’re going to keep bumping it until April 30 kasi that’s the deadline.
We plan to hold a meeting for revising the code somtime between May 1 – 2. Nagdi-discuss na kami ni Mario about pubbing materials. Isa na rin doon ‘yong plan to publicize every change sa code.
For now, we request the council na lang to share all the SEEB pubmats.
Reminder na lang rin na amy quota na 1 representative from each batch and ASEO org.
Andi: Na-release na ba ng UP Admin ‘yong guidelines sa elections?
Mario: Wala pang clear guidelines from the admin.
Shin: We can adjust naman if ever magkaroon ng new announcement.
[Motion] Shin: Motion to extend 2 minutes.
Mario: Second.
Emman: To clarify, the positions are back to the original one.
Mario: If ever we want to change certain positions, that will take effect the academic year after the next one. So regardless of the changes in the positions we vote on this year, it won’t take effect agad next year.
Andi: Reminder na lang rin sa mode of elections if it’s going to be through gforms kasi isasabay na siya sa consti plebiscite.
Mario: Hinihintay na lang rin namin USEB, kasi if may module sa CRS, we have to make a separate one.
Other Matters - 10 min
Shin: Haraya updates. The table of contents for the yearbook is done na. It’s on hold right now kasi hindi pa accomplished ‘yong service contract since wala pa kaming final number ng yearbooks, Deadline April 28. 30 days after that for the rest.
Emman: Question for Jaro. 2,400 ‘yong naka-allocate. I asked and parang 800 ‘yong market rate for tutors, so hindi talaga enough ‘yong 200.
Jaro: As mentioned, basta kasi ‘yong na-approve natin na budget sa plansem, labas na Ways and Means doon.
Emman: Basically basta within the 6,400 ng EdRes.
Third: Mario, are there plans for LCC GAs?
Mario: I’ll ask again.
Andi: Is anyone free to attend the student summit this Friday?
Mario: I’ll try.
Jaro: I can also try.
Andi: I also wanted to thank Mitch and BRA sa paghatak ng mga representatives for the constirev. Right after reading break, week of May 10. 2-3 meetings. Light lang naman.

STRENGTHS:
- The speaker is well-versed sa topic
- The audience was engaging
- We were able to do effective sensing
- We were able to get incentives for Mendoza’s two classes
- We started and ended on time
- There were 29 students for the classes, but then we have 30+ students
WEAKNESSES:
- Timing of topics and competency of the audience
- Students might have been overwhelmed with the data
THREATS:
- It took us a week to secure the incentives with Prof. Mendoza
- Last minute schedule of UP Economics Society’s Genmeet.
- Last minute change in event schedule, buti naman we were able to reconcile the schedules of the two events
OPPORTUNITIES:
- Maybe we can get her for another seminar in Stata
Thank you to JBR for coordinating with the Econ 131 classes for the event!
Andi: Congratulations to JBR and SBR for the successful events!
BRA Outreach Updates (c/o WaM & JBreps) - 5 min
- We have two partners. As we’ve said in the last GA, ang hirap talaga makahanap ng mga partners because of everything that has been happening. Alpha Sigma and CSSP SC.
- PHP 93,520 worth of medicines from Pascual Lab. Vitamins, and it will help people. I would like to congratulate my team na rin for this success.
- We have secured a partnership from Tiger Biscuits, 10,500 worth of biscuits.
As for individual donations, 14,800 pesos na ‘yong donations na we were able to get. 35,000 onti na lang. And to think na hindi pa natin masydong nabu-bump ‘yong post. Thank you to Venice, Cla, Chabs, and Juls for all their help!

STRAW Updates + Admin Meeting Recap (c/o STRAW-Sec) - 15 min
- Straw systems
- I’ve met with Haqq and Kyla last Saturday and we were able to conceptualize the plan na for a more aggressive way to get Dear STRAW to reach other people
- This Thursday we will be releasing a Dear STRAW pub internally and ever week we will be bumping it as is practice
- Every end of the week we will be updating the student body na rin with regards to the status of the said grievances, pero of course we can’t publicize the specific details kasi data privacy
- Meeting with Abrenica and Magno
- Andi, Mario, and I met with Ma’am Abrenica and Ma’am Magno last Tuesday
- We raised different grievances and basically Ma’am Abrenica wants us to engage with our professors more. Have a healthy discussion with them about concerns and grievances. We acknowledge that this is really hard, and Andi raised the issue of the power imbalance between a student and a prof. Mario and I also raise some grievances wherein it was very difficult for the student to continue the conversation with the professor.
- We also asked for the possibility of an academic ease kasi we were going to appeal na talaga. This was kind of difficult to raise kasi the admin maintains that professors have academic freedom and that the admin can’t just tell them what they can and cannot do. We explained naman na it’s a matter of weighing acad freedom against literally the welfare of the students. We also used CAL as an example.
- We were told by Ma’am Abrenica and Ma’am Magno to email the Dean our appeal, by this Friday we’ll send the appeal na.
- We also raised concerns about the crediting of classes kasi it’s been a long issue na pero still no updates. We finally got one: Ma’am Abrenica says na the OUR policies are stricter now and that since we’re self-advising, we should constantly check the prerequisites of the courses we enlist in.
Shin: I second the motion.
Andi: We will send a letter to the Dean on Friday. Whatever we get from the ECONsult, it will all be contextualized.
