BRA Outreach Updates (c/o WaM & JBreps)
  • We’ve received individual donations amounting to Php 38,200. Php 500 from org partners.
  • We are still working on the Tiger Biscuits partnership. Mabusisi sila sa legalities ng partnership but it’s already a done deal.
  • Confirmed partners: Pascual Lab, UP Alpha Sigma, and CSSP SC.
  • Congratulations to BRA and the Ways and Means donation drive team.

SEEB Updates (c/o Seeb Co-Chairs)
  • We have our complete core na.
  • We will be releasing the pub announcing the complete core tonight.
  • We will be meeting with SEEB core para we can work na on our plans revising the election code. Ifi-finalize na rin namin ‘yong heads.
  • Next pub, ire-release na namin ‘yong description ng mga positions. Right now, we’re coordinating with Tita Millet regarding sa process ng filing. If someone submits, we’re going to cc it sa kanila.
  • Kung mapapansin ng iba, hindi tayo nasama sa memo on student elections from the UP admin. Unfortunately, the emails were always going to my spam. I already reached out sa Office of Student Projects, informing them na sasabay tayo and explaining the situation.

Mitch: Thanks Mario! Please update us na lang. Napapansin rin namin na hindi umaabot sa 16 shares ‘yong mga SEEB posts. Please share.

Grad School Talk + Haraya Updates c/o SeBreps
  • Law, Masters in IE, Masters in Dev Econ, Masters in Econ, PhD in Econ.
  • We’re going to start messaging people na. If we try to reach out to people that graduated far from us, baka iba na rin ‘yong perspectives.
  • May 15 or 22, depending on how we’re going to be able to secure speakers and incentives. As early as next week, we’re going to be contacting people na.
  • For incentives, by Friday, we’ll try emailing na.
  • For Haraya updates, we just finished our downpayment collections. Right now, we started na the collections for the rest of the payments. We employed ‘yong downpayment scheme first to give people ample time to move their money.
  • As of today, we will sign the service contract na with Zone 5. After that signing, we’ll be able to start meetings with the Zone 5 studio.

Alay para kay Ate Yolly Updates c/o Chairperson
  • Andi’s coordinating with Tita Millet for all of this. She is in touch with
  • As of yesterday, they already checked her in. Sobrang nakakapanlumo talaga. Total donations natin ay 32,580. Amount disbursed, 17,500. We’ll disburse the remaining by today. Mamaya-maya idi-disburse na siya ni Andi.
  • Thank you Kyla and Haqq for the pubs!
  • How much is Council willing to donate?

Jaro: Andi and I were discussing. We thought it would be best to consult you.

Mario: I think it would be best rin to trust Jaro on these matters kasi siya talaga nakakaalam ng state ng funds natin as of now.

Jaro: Let’s consider rin na we want to help Tita Yolly. Kaya naman natin kumita ng pera soon if malaki mababawas sa funds natin and we want to help Tita Yolly rin talaga.

Mitch: Majority okay naman sa Php 3,500.

Midsem Evals Calendaring c/o Chairperson
  • Midsem Evals will be either on May 8 or May 10.
  • We will be having a poll to determine when we can have our midsem evals.

STRAW Updates c/o STRAW-Sec Councilor
  • Tuklas: We will be showcasing a shorter number of organizaations for this semester’s Tuklas Fair. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of my core, we have received a lot of rejections. The orgs we have contacted have signified that they do not have the manpower, etc. I think that it’s understandable given the state of the nation.
  • NSTP: I have coordinated with SoBR regarding this. Thank you to Cami and Gia. The class will be forwarding a letter na to sila Tita just so that the appropriate changes can be made sa course.
  • BA 99.2: I received a grievance from one of the students sa class. Thank you to Rejam for being g to coordinate with the class. I’m raising this issue na to the admin.
  • Econ 163: Unfortunately, despite the attempts from the class to follow up on their email, the prof still has not replied to them. We already submitted a letter to the admin, and Andi has talked to Ma’am Magno about the issue. We already underlined the urgency especially since the exam is on Friday na.

Summer Bazaar Updates c/o Ways and Means Councilor
  • I have been coordinating with my teammates who have been working on the Bazaar. Two days ago, they told me na they’re really having troubles getting partners. They wanted to reschedule the Bazaar to the end of this month.
  • Later, 8 PM, I will be having a meeting with them. I will be updating you next GA. I am open to their requests naman of having it rescheduled kasi they’re the ones who are directly working on it, therefore they are in the best position to say kung paano kami magmo-move forward with the project.

Other Matters
  • Dean Endorsement Statement: The characteristics used to judge which of the candidates were the better fit for the deanship were characteristics we got from the survey. Manifestations raised were not of our own but came from the sentiments of the student body. We apologize to the student body regardless. We do believe that we could have improved more on our systems.
  • External Evals: BRA, please remind your batchmates of the eval forms! We have a 50% + 1 quota per batch and we really need to get the sentiments of the student body so that we know how to improve pa.
