​1. GA Tidbits (5 mins)
  • World: The Eagles defeat the Patriots (41-33) in Super Bowl 52. This is the first super bowl championship in franchise history.
  • Local: Duterte to witness destruction of 20 'luxury cars' confiscated by Bureau of Customs during bureau's anniversary today. They're worth P61.6M in total.
  • UP: NCAA Juniors MVP Will Gozum commits to UP Fighting Maroons
  • Random: Nigel the lonely seabird dies beside the bird replica he’s loved for 5 years

2. Org Fair Evaluations c/o Paje (5 mins)
  • Paje: It was a little stressful at first since no one decorated except ETC. I commended them for always having decorations and following the theme. The launch went pretty well since there was a lot of food and a lot of people went. It was like a start-of-school Gpak instead of hatak for Org launch since a lot of people already have orgs.
  • Paje: Tips for next year would be that the venue was okay since they have walls to put decors on and a lot of people pass there. Next, make sure and strictly enforce that Org Fair is a big thing. Make more pakulos or games in between for all the orgs.
  • Howie: Were the orgs cooperative?
  • Paje: No complaints from the orgs, and even if they ingressed late, it was okay. I think it served its purpose.
  • Ian: How was the recruitment?
  • Paje: ETC has 10. Ecosoc has around 20+. UPIC has around the same amount. OBEM has 5. But in the end, no one was unhappy.
  • Paje: Tambayan Updates, the orgs have taken out all their stuff from the bodega.
  • Howie: When it comes to shifts, please follow it. If you’re going to change, please make sure you don’t leave the slot empty. There should always be someone to replace you.
 
3. Tuklas Updates c/o Josh (5 mins)
  • Josh: We’ll be using the walkway outside 114. We have 16 NGOs but one of them isn’t sure yet since they confirmed only a while ago. We also have 16 student org partners. We have 1 sponsor then Cams will update me regarding Shell.
  • Who has ext cords? Jolo, Ian, Yana, Iyla, Bets
  • Josh: For shifts, it will be 1 shift each, from 10am-4pm. I’ll be using a yellow pad for registration.
  • Howie: For the tables, what will you do?
  • Josh: I’ll be getting from Pook Ricarte.
  • Howie: You can get monobloc chairs from the lounge so you don’t have to go far. Also, ask BRA to brig about it so people know about it.

4. BRA Valentines Day Initiatives Updates c/o BRA (5 mins)
  • Louise: Kayla and I are buying small tokens to be packed and given away.
  • Gelo: On Mondays, we’re baking cookies and distributing them to the batch.
  • Javi: We’re having a fishbowl with horoscopes then each will determine what prize you will get.
  • Theresa: We’re still collecting money from our rummageables, so if we get enough from that, we’ll have an initiative.
  • Howie: Maybe BRA can have a pub telling the batches to approach their respective batch reps for a Valentine’s Day treat.

5. Magna Carta Lobbying Updates c/o Josh (5 mins)
  • Josh: Tomorrow, we have a meeting at 3pm. Jolo, Bets and I will be there. The other one got moved to Feb 22.
  • Howie: The goal now is to make the job easier for the next DRW and to make the student feel our efforts and to make them aware of the DRW.
  • Howie: There’s a DRW GA at 5:30 in Malcolm Hall. Who can go? Jolo, Josh

6. LCC GA Schedule c/o Howie (5 mins)
  • Howie: LCC GA this Saturday, 4-6pm. Each of you are required to go to at least 1 this sem, so let me know if you wanna go.

7.Consolidated Letter 2 c/o Bets (5 mins)
  • Bets: I’m going to be sending the second consolidated letter for the second half of Feb and start of March. I’ll be enumerating the events and their respective rooms. Kindly let me know if I missed any.
  • Bets: Paje, are there any room reservations from SEAC?
  • Paje: For start of March, none yet. There will be room reservations for Econ Week though.
  • Bets: I’ll make a separate letter for Econ Week.

8. EdRes Updates c/o Iyla (5 mins)
  • Iyla: We’ve started planning for the partnership event with OBEM about startup business. We’re targeting Shapecloud, PaidUp, Launchgarage, WeLink Networks care of Diego Manalastats. If you have anymore in mind, let me know.
  • Iyla: We’ve started working on the Career Talk on February 21. We’ve confirmed Sam Cinco for Academe since she’s a teacher in St. Jude. We’re inviting for Law, and either for Government.
  • Iyla: Econ 106 Balanquit tutorial on Thursday in SE 105 care of Kayla Fabi.

9. Other Matters
  • Josh: We have 1 confirmed expert for DIWA.
  • Jolo: We need help with the external arm of Econ Week. We need alcohol sponsors/partners. If you have any contacts, please help out.
  • Howie: What is your deadline before contacting Tanduay?
  • Cams: Today or tomorrow unless we find another contact.
