1. 1.GA Tidbits (5 mins)
•World: Gun control demonstrations planned around the U.S. after Florida school shooting
•Local: Southbound train broke down this morning at 6:30am between Ortigas and Shaw due to worn our electrical subcomponents
•UP: UP Fair ended last weekend
•Random: Team Lebron wins against Team Stephen in NBA All Star Weekend
2.Career 101 Final Reminders c/o Cams & Iyla (5 mins)
•Cams: Our speakers are Jena Fernandez for law Sam Cinco for Academe and Cara Latinazo for govt. There will be a speakers pub so please share and hatak.
•Iyla: Jolo and Josh will be hosting. Ingress is at 3:30-4 in SE 121. Registration starts at 3:45. Who can bring laptops? Bets and Cams. Ian will take care of Cams’ laptop. There will be food so who can help out with food distribution? Je and Theresa. Who can’t go? Louise (class) and Steph (will be late from UFC emergency meeting). Please help with the hatak since the main pub has been doing weak.
3.Internships 101 Final Reminders c/o Javi & Yana (5 mins)
•Javi: We have the program flow and food for 30. Our second speaker backed out but she promised to find us another speaker, so we’ll be delaying the speaker pub. We’re confident we’ll get a replacement.
•Yana: We need two people for reg but we have laptops already. It’s at 4-4:30. Who can help? Louise and Steph. We’re going to make an event page to gauge how many can go since SE 114 is a big room. We’ll see if we can move it to a smaller room.
•Javi: I noticed that Internships 101 is at the same week as Career 101 and the Resume Workshop is also coming up so maybe in the future, we could make it a week-long event with different topics per day.
•Yana: One of the speakers is Jackie for HR then the other is unconventional so it can really help those attending realize that they can do something outside the field.
4.Magna Carta Lobbying Updates c/o Josh (5 mins)
•Howie: Tita said it’s better if there’ll only be 3 since they’re going to be serving food. It’ll be good if it’s someone from Law along with me and Ian.
•Josh: That meeting will be on Thursday, SE 302. The others haven’t followed up.
•Ian: Will you be mentioning the four sem rule?
•Howie: I’ll discuss it after the meeting. To those assigned to coordinate with certain profs, kindly follow up with them. In order for the Magna Carta to become part of the agenda of the UC meeting, it has to go through the WOW. There were still a lot of questions regarding the document, so they wouldn’t be able to push through with discussing it. If ever, the meeting will be moved to June 26.
•Je: Yeah, the meetings
5. Kickoff Bazaar Updates c/o Kevin (5 mins)•Kevin: Today, 113k is the profit but 2 still haven’t replied. If ever, we’d only have 93k.
•Howie: The bazaar is next week at UP Technohub, so let’s support.
6.LCC GA Reminders c/o Howie (5 mins)
•Howie: LCC GA on Feb 26, Monday, 4-6pm. The catch now is that we’ll be hosting it. It’ll be in SE 125. If you’re free, please go. You’re required to go to at least one.
7.SAC Updates c/o Je (5 mins)
•Je: There will be a Cooking Class on 3 Fridays but there are no set dates yet. It’s at 1-4pm though. I’ll try adjusting it to 12-3. The first will be making different pastas, next making bread and the last will be different ways to prepare eggs. It’ll have a max of 16 participants.
•Je; We’ll be taking videos and pictures for Dilgames hopefully next week. Please support Dilgames once the schedule comes out.
•Je: Seniors and Juniors, please post in the group to give their resumes so we can give it to UJF.
•Howie: When the teams train, please make sure they’re complete so it doesn’t go to waste.
