- GA Tidbits
- World: The Patriots win Super Bowl in unprecedented comeback
- Local: Tuition-free SUC education 'anti-poor' - economists
- UP: Feb is UPD month.
- Random: Fifty Shades darker showing today, uncut and uncensored.
- The Situationer Evals
- Jem: First of all, compared to last sem, more people came because there was relatively no clash sa sched. The problem lang this sem was that Sidhi didn't show up. Ma'am Kraft was also very talkative this time. There was a point in the program na napaisip ako if kailangan pa ba natin mag-Situationer. Feel ko, we should explore other avenues or means without having to rent a room or something.
- Howie: What if gawin lang siya if may pressing issues lang. Sa ngayon kasi, other than academic concerns, wala masyado.
- Pat: i found it useful yung USC part kasi instead of seeing the pubmat, you get to hear them say it talaga. I think it was helpful in realizing that they are doing something.
- Paje: I liked what they said from the USC. It was very informative.
- Jem: Compared to last sem, this was really prepared talaga sa part ng USC.
- Carlos: how do you think we can invite more people to go?
- Gabbi: It's crucial na ma-inform sila through our open consultations, instead. You can't really force people to go.
- Pat: I think we can have more people is to let them know what the things that can be possibly discussed sa Situationer, something more specific, kasi I think that will spark their interest.
- Tin: Feeling ko kailangan na ilagay rin sa Pub kung ano yung pinag-uusapan, kasi a lot of people in Econ don't know what's happening in the Situationer.
- Carlos: What I'm getting is that we have to re-evaluate the event para mas maraming makapuntang people. Do you think we should do this every sem?
- Jem: As long as the room is waived, I think, pwede naman.
- Carlos: To reiterate, we can still have the Situationer, but we have to improve the pub na lang para mas maraming people ang maka-alam. For batch reps, I'm gonna make a Gform, please help na lang disseminating it. Sa LCC kasi, we had a meeting with Dr. Marian Roque regarding the GE reform, so gusto nila na i-synchronize yung gusto ng admin and students of Econ.

- Edres Updates
- Jem: With PANTAY and EdRes, Reini and I are talking with the convener of PANTAY and we're looking at a partnership with them for Kapekonomiya. We were hoping that Kape will be one of those big-time DGs that we'll do. I'll update you next week kung payag sila.
- Carlos: For PANTAY, will you be interested in being more active with them? I was thinking if napaka pakitang-tao masyado if we become a partner with it, tapos wala tayong ginagawa.
- Jem: At least with the being active part, we plan to make Kape as a concrete step sa PANTAY partnership. Marami tayong gagawin, but then it's an important initiative rin that I think we should pursue as a Council.
- Jem: Just to inform you, we're joining the PR arm of the Diliman Rights Watch. Later, we'll finalize it, but nasabi na rin natin. It's official, more or less. For the content generation initiatives, I'll talk to Alyssa Encarnacion in probably writing articles regarding equity vs. equality sa free education. That should be out by the end of this month. Econcept will probably be 'competition', but it depends rin kung gaano karaming info we have.

- Fin Updates
- Joel: For the Fin, my Core is starting to get the non-food fundraisers, like the fans, caps etc. After that, this week, we'll have food fundraisers, on Friday is Moshi Manju pa rin. Also, instead of roses, we'll sell food bouquets. For the E-Store, naliliquidate ko na yung current stocks. For new stocks, I'll talk to Jem for the supplier, and tapos na yung pubs. The designs tapos na, pero yung supplier, I'll confirm by this weekend. By Monday, I'll post na lang. For the stock left, I'll check pa. I'm also checking with my Core ng isang venue for the rummage sale.
- Internals Updates
- Paje: So Joel said we're gonna sell food bouquets na lang. We'll have a pub release tonight. We need you guys on Tuesday to set-up and have these prepared for pick-ups na lang. We'll just have a system na lang na period and pick-up para guaranteed na crispy pa yung nuggets.
- STRAW Updates
- Howie: Sa DG, so far, meron na kaming isang speaker from Amnesty International. Ang hinhingi lang nila is program flow and guide questions. Naibigay na ni Jhio Aranzaso yung endorsement letter from CHR. Isa pa lang yung partner namin, which is IGNITE-NCPAG. We'll contact na lang na rin yung SEAC. For mental health, pumayag si Charlotte Amante, na magbigay ng outline of the talk. Willing rin yung Core ko na tumulong about it. For the thesis case, nakuha na ni Ma'am Abrenica. Ang sabi ng secretary niya, I should follow up na lang daw with her. For the front parking, nakausap ko na si Rianne (Geronimo). Tatanggalin na raw ng BA.
- SAC Updates
- Earl: Hindi natuloy nung 6 and 13 kasi hindi available yung volleyball eliminations. So available naman siya for 20 and 27, so I'll have it reserved na. For the Schoolympics finals, may ginawa na akong streetdance guidelines. Please check na lang, tapos I'll send it na lang per batch groups. Sa Feb 10, restaurant visit sa Tomas Morato. DilGames will start on March 11, which is a Saturday. For the arts and culture initiatives, may naisip na naman yung Core ko, we'll just publish the articles sa website natin.
- Haraya Updates
- Emira: Please support our duffel bags, which we're selling at Php600. We're also still collecting yearbook write-ups.
- Aaron: Please share Emira's post. We're also sharing roses individually at Php65 pesos.
- Open Consultations
- Carlos: So next week, we'll have open consultations. So 11-2:30 yung open consultations. I'll make a shift schedule na lang. There will be people sitting in the booth, tapos may people na nagr-roam around. Online, I'll be sending an open Core consultation form, where we'll ask them how they feel etc.
*Meeting ends 5:39 PM
