2. Diwa Evaluations c/o Josh (5 mins)
- Josh: Less hassle this sem. I’m not sure if its because we released the pub in the weekend. 37 signed up. We got to help 27/37 this sem since some backed out and only one want because there weren’t professionals available.
- Josh: in giving water we got to distribute water beforehand not during the session.
- Josh: One professional couldn't make it because she thought it was UP clark after clarifying and reminding her beforehand it was UP Diliman but we figured out how to accommodate those students. We asked one professional to stay a little longer.
- Howie move to council room if not finished. how was your core?
- Josh: They were less stressed this sem. Regarding the venues, I had to talk to the secretary of Ma’am Gonzales since she’s in charge of CFME rooms and Ma’am Kraft suggested that I make use of those. In turns out though that Dean didn’t want us to use the library rooms so I talked to Ma’am Kraft and Dean Solon. They ended up opening up UPSEAA, Idea Room, Madrigal Room and made use of the Council room.
- Josh; I’m hoping that the next STRAW will continue this initiative since the students also look for it after.
3. Resume Workshop Evaluations c/o Yana & Javi (5 mins)
- Howie: There was a meeting last Thursday on minor programs for courses since it’s an unwritten rule right now.
- Yana: We were happy with the turnout since we got 102 first but had to move to 103 since a lot of people ended up going. We were also happy with the speaker since she’s really prepared for these talks. In exchange for this though we have to get her around 150 more likes on her page.
- Jackie: At first we were worried that people wouldn’t go but it was nice that people wen without making too much hatak.
- Kevin: The timing was nice since it’s Career Fair this week and people need their resumes.
- Yana: One improvement is that even if the venue is on the event page, people still tend to ask so we should have a sign outside the venue.
4. Study Spaces for Grad. Students c/o Ian & Je (5 mins)
- Ian: Last week, we tried talking to the head librarian of UPSe if we can extend the lib hours but they’re undermanned even on regular hours so it won’t be feasible.
- Howie; It’s also OT fee.
- Ian: She told me to get back to her last weekend.
- Je: I sent a letter to Ma’am Kraft regarding a study space like any room they want to give for free. I’ll follow it up tomorrow. I told the grad students that there’s Kapihan so they can stay there first.
5. Hell Week Initiative Updates c/o Josh & Jolo (5 mins)
- Jolo: For Wed, we’ll just continue the coffee initiative. It was good awhile ago and we even got to give to staff and admin. Please continue to make hatak. It was just one big serving. Tomorrow, I’ll have Internals set up by 10am since I have class. It will be served at 11:30-1pm.
- Josh: On Thursday, we’re going to be giving bubble wrap and stress balls away. On Friday, my core’s gonna give away signs on our IDs with free hugs and we all have to wear it. At 11:30-1pm, we’re going to have dogs again at the back parking. We’ll be in charge of the pubs.
6. Econ Week Bazaar Updates c/o Kevin (5 mins)
- Kevin: I had to make it a week-long event since Ayala would give it to another bazaar that wanted to make it week-long. We have 26 concessionnaires so far. Right now, I can’t accept other concessionnaires since we lack tents from Globe. Also please share the merch that Joaquin made.
- Je: I know a contact who has 3x3 tents that are 200 pesos a day.
7.Sidhi Recruitment Updates c/o Paje (5 mins)
- Paje: We have one more applicant and I’ve yet to interview her since she’s busy this hell week.
- Jolo: Letter Updates, we made sure that we prioritized the letters which includes th promos, invites and incentives letters. We’ve already sent two of the letters and the incentives letters are ready. You can come to the Econ Week booth and have an incetive letter printed if you want to give one to your class. I asked Econ 121 Bautista but she said no.
- Paje; I also asked 198 Magno but she also said no. I’ll try Abrenica.
- Jolo: I’ll post the trackeer later so please comment if you have classes you want incenitivized.
- Jolo: Promo week concerns, a while ago, we had the booth designed where we put the Econ week DP taking and Econ Week explainer. We can also put the shirts there so we can remind people that there’s merch. In giving the coffee tomorrow, we’ll be promoting it too so we get it out there. If you have FAQs or promos, you can take advantage of the booth. I’ll be releasing the promo weeks sign ups later so you can sign up for shifts. It’s not mandatory but I’m hoping you can help out. With BRA, I’m hoping you can help me with promoting with the tambay to tambay promos and within the batch.
- Paje: For SEAC events, there will be an event every day except for Thrusday. Each event is a required event so the only excuse is if you have class. I’ll be there every afternoon. On Wednesday, there’s going to be a Monopoly style game and you can win prizes so SESC can form a team or two. They’re releasing sign ups this week so I’ll be reminding you guys to sign up.
- Howie: Team 1 is Jackie, Louise, Je and Cams. Team 2 is Ian, Therese, Javi and Steph.
- Paje: On Tuesday, there’s an ETC forum on TRAIN. UPIC’s forum on cryptocurrency is on Friday before Game Theory. Tomorrow’s our final meeting with the SEAC orgs.
- Jolo: Our call time on Friday is at 4pm on Friday.
- Paje: We need 2 people to provide transpo on Monday. Who can bring? Je (4 pax), Jolo (5 pax), Josh (8 pax) , Howie*
- Paje: Only a few people will be able to go given the other events happening on that day so to those who said they’re going, please make sure you do.
- Jolo: For Batch Wars, we’re finalizing the games and point system so you’ll be updated regarding these. BRA, we need max participation from your batch. Whatever the number, let’s just try to go for a competitive atmosphere.
- Jolo: For Game Theory, we already had an ocular and things are good so far. We have leeway when it comes to special effects. We got 2 DJs already. We’re going to have taskings so we have to work first. Tues OB shirt, Wed SESC shirt and Friday OB shirt. Who isn’t going to Game Theory? Iyla, Theresa, Javi
- Cams: For concessionnaires, we’re still coordinating with BCO since we need to talk to Ma’am Kraft and OVCCA for sanitary permits etc. It’s a long process but we’re trying to squeeze it all in. We have Chicago pasta and pizza worth 10k. Chubby Chicken might give 1.5k worth of food for one day.
- Je: I know the BCO works slow since they’re still working on the SC.
- Howie: Try mentioning that you need the approval within the week.
- Jolo: For Xdeals pickup, a lot of them are in Taguig so I need people to pick them up. Josh and Abec
- Jolo: We need help with bringing materials. I’ll post the list later so please comment which you can bring. You’ll also be assigned to an admin/staff for the Salamat Kits so please take note of them.
- Joaquin: We’ll probably blast the DPs on Monday so please make hatak to take DPs.
- Jolo: I want to get admin and staff to take their DPs too.
- Joaquin: Our plan last lantern parade was to post their pictures on the page since they might not have Facebooks.
9. Sagip SC Coalition Updates c/o Howie (5 mins)
- Howie: The stall owners are trying to move to the tennis court but the stall owners and the BCO are not in the best terms so they might be given a higher rent or might not be given a temporary place to stay.
- Je: They still have to talk to CHK for the use of the tennis court.
- Ian: From what I know, they already talked to Dizer.
- Howie: There was supposed to be a movement on the same day as the meeting of the stall owners so they moved the meeting so the meeting for the Sagip SC Coalition will be on Friday, 4pm.
10. SEEB & CSEB Appointees c/o Howie (5 mins)
- Howie: Ma’am Kraft already talked to us regarding this. So far, we need one more since we already have Jem.
- Jackie: We can chat about it later.
- Howie: We need to move our GA since we have an event on Tuesday and we need to discuss only Econ Week. I was thinking Monday afternoon or night since there’s an Ecosoc outreach in the morning. Who can’t got on March 19 (Monday) after 5pm? Jackie*, Javi, Yana, Joaquin
- Jolo: Can we still have a Game Theory GA on Thursday?
- Gelo: ACLE ends at 4pm.
- Howie: Can we meet on Thursday after 4:30pm for a Game Theory GA since we’re going to have taskings by then?
12. Other matters
- Josh: The BSS had a letter made to set a dialogue with our admin regarding fire drills and other student needs. I already have the letter so I just need to know if you guys are game.
- Kayla: BRA Outreach is back to a GK Build since it’s nearer on the same date, April 7.
- Je: Schoolympics Prelims on April 2.
- Cams: Please give your resumes in the drive.
- Howie: Iyla, people are asking for tutorials for 100.1 and 100.2.
- Howie: When can we set Midsem Evals? April 6
