I. IRR - Chairperson
II. Events - Freshie and Sophomore Batch Representatives
- Josh: Since I posted it and I expect everyone to have read it. We can finally decide on it already. The target implementation date is September 5, but I can be before. If you guys still have concerns you guys can raise it. If wala, we can proceed to voting. Oh and I need to include the Freshie Elections in the IRR since the issue with the elections is accessibility and I will add a clause there saying na it will push through only if the majority of the freshies can vote (75% of the freshies). It will be google form or something. So we will survey them if they can vote. That’s the discretion of the interim council. So let’s vote on the document. All those in favor thumbs up (16 votes in the affirmative).
- Josh: Since it’s approved, we need to vote for the approval of Andie to be OIC chairperson. So it’s fair I will explain. Andi is who i chose since (1) it is her third year in council; (2) she has proven her capability and we saw how she resolved issues as STRAW; (3) she knows how to listen; (4) and she’s the one who i can see whom can lead with the absence of us na. So we need 10 votes (minus Andi and I). Okay we have 15 votes in the affirmative. So Andi will now be the OIC chairperson once I let go. Reminder lang, this entire interim council, whoever will be appointed OIC for head office, their term is subject to the next student council elections. With that, I will be working with Andi to ensure that there is a proper transition for the interim council. I’ll make sure that she’ll have the proper guidance and that may mga matitira pa with her.
- Maui: kailan makakatransition yung council we have pending partnerships and they need to know how many people can like or share
- Josh: For sure mawawala ako, jv, klause, zion, reg, and je. Pero baka may mga mauuna. We will have our last GA with all of us on August 22.
- Maui: basta by september wala na seniors?
- Josh: Yes. Now, sino may balak umalis? (6 people raised their hands). Andi, 6 mababakante ah.
II. Events - Freshie and Sophomore Batch Representatives
- Pat: For freshie orientation program, gusto nila 30 minutes lang. So
- Introduction- Ma’am Magno
- Ice breaker- Council
- Orientation- Ma’am Monsod (Toby)
- Scholastic standing, scholarship, laptop
- Library talk
- Advanced registration and advising
- The role of the council is to entertain the freshies habang hindi pa sila na a-advise so we can talk about UPSE culture and whatnot. Then if they have questions we can address them. This will be at 1pm on Monday.
- Third: Me and Dylan will be emcee. Tapos for the ice breakers, we’ll try kahoot. Dylan tried if kaya lahat and as of now parang kaya naman. And ma’am magno sent revisions for the program flow pero kaya naman.
- Cami: For the powerpoint, we are just waiting for the names of who will talk, but we sent na the peg of the powerpoint for that event.
- Dylan: Tapos pumayag si mitch magbigay ng 600 for the prizes. So either grab food credits or Shoppee voucher. So 300, 200, tapos 100.
- Third: May balak kasi kami na magkaroon ng parang freshie ED. Pero parang tentative pa siya. It’s not planned yet. And when we released forms for their questions regarding Econ in general. And there are 2 questions there about the stand of econ is, sustainable capitalism, etc. We wanted to address those in the ED para malaman nila where econ actually stands in the debate. And Me, Cami, and Erica are planning ahead for it.
- Josh: When you have an ED make sure that both perspectives are captured rin
- Third: Pero we also wanted to include the stand talaga ng Council.
- Josh: Do we have stands on capitalism?
- Je: The SESC understands and respects the plurality in opinion of the people in the school kasi. Kaya usually middle ground yung mga stand ng council because that’s what the people say. So, I think we should stress that rin to them.
