- Local news: Last Monday, Duterte admin pitched Php3.35trillion for government budget
- UP News: UP USC held a rally last week against extrajudicial killings
- LOL News: Last weekend was the WWE SummerSlam.
- Gabbi: Bad points: Candidates were not informed to wear formal. There was no udpated list of econ freshies. Hindi rin nalinis ang whiteboard.
- Carlos: How many freshies are there at the batch?
- Kevin: WE don't know because 101 doesn't know either
- Good points: Okay yung turnout ng freshies. 97% turnout of voters
- Carlos: For future reference, let's keep the ballot in the drive.
- Jem: Ang ganda ng turnout sa convoc, esp. on the part of the freshmen.
- Aaron: I think they're just shy and they don't know what to ask, because they don't know what to expect with the officers.
- Kevin: I think the time of voting should be adjusted to a shorter period since konti lang ang bumoboto. Para lang sa freshie reps elections
- Pat: I think that only applies to just this batch, since konti lang ang freshmen.
- Josh: Sayang lang yung ink, since ang laki nang dapat i-shade sa ballot
- Betina: It was a good thing that there was an open forum.
- Aaron: I was surprised by the number of attendees. Okay naman yung program. It was a little short, so I think we could've added one more speaker. I guess we could've used the council projector.
- Emira: We also had to pay for the projector and the maintenance for two hours, instead of one.
- Aaron: I think the topics were all covered, because the speakers talked about technical and practical stuff about thesis-writing.
- Pat: I expected to have more Council members in the event, even if it is a batch event
- Carlos: Importante rin yung ingress and egress part, since the organizers really need help esp. with what's happening inside. Let's be clear to designate the time of ingress and egress, and let's be sure to help them and be there.
- Chito: Siguro 'nung binigay yung cerLficate, sana binasa.
- Emira: I think wala talgang script for the program. 'Di ready 'yung program, so I think it's good to have something to be read.
- Carlos: I think you might want to add some hosts rin next time.
- Emira: My other batchmates were expecting to have a thesis seminar for the next semester, but I think it's more expensive.
- Aaron: I think it would be best to have another thesis seminar.
- Consensus: There will be another thesis seminar

- Paje: Wear batch colors. Council wears Council colors
- Kiss: The caterer said that they would be using paper plates, instead of real plates, kasi palagi raw silang nawawalan
- Aaron: A reminder for the batch reps to form the basketball and volleyball teams. Volleyball is mixed, basketball is all-male. Ratio for volleyball is 3:3.
- Joel, Earl needs money for Schoolympics Php3,500
- Joel: Send me the reimbursement form
- Carlos: If you want to bring other stuff, like water and bananas, your call
- Paje: Please tell Earl to furnish me the names of all the varsity members by tonight
- 1st. From UP Alyansa
- They have this unity statement set to be released tomorrow at 8 p.m. We should send our logo by 5 p.m. tomorrow if we want to be included
- Thoughts:
- Pat: I'm concerned that Council may be labeled as blue
- Chito: UP Alyansa said na hindi raw isasama ang pangalan ng UP Alyansa
- Jem: We always ground ourselves on staLsLcs. I think it is heavy on emotions. At least for the recent statement, I think there is some
discrepancy on that. - Paje: I think this transcends color and I think that we have to show solidarity with the UP Community.
- Carlos: I think our issue now is that it is a good way of showing our solidarity with the community, on the other, in that we have always
presented facts and statistics?- Pat: I don't think it's gonna be a too big of a deal, since they can already see our statement that supports the same
- Gabbi: Hindi na ba possible na mag-forward sa Alyansa ng iba pang pwedeng idagdag sa statement?
- Chito: I think pwede naman naLng itanong yun
- Jem: I think we should sign this solidarity statement, but I think it's unnecessary to add some parts pa, since we could delay it's release
- Carlos: For other points, I think that's where Free Market comes in
- Consensus: UP SESC will sign this unity statement
- Pat: I'm concerned that Council may be labeled as blue
- 2nd. USC
- For Pride Week
- On Sept. 12-16
- Pat: Tambayan InauguraLon is on Sept. 16
- No set time from Ma'am Kraft.
- Chito: kung hindi man tayo makapagpartner, sana maging partner tayo sa Pride March
- Jem: I'm strongly in favor of partnering. We can just excuse two Council members from our events to fulfill our partnership
- Kiss: They didn't give a date for final confirmation
- Carlos: I think the best thing that we can do now is to compile our schedule for that week, and negotiate with them using that
- 3rd. For Woman Up
- They messaged me that they wanted to use SE Audi. We are a major partner, and is also responsible for the logistics of the event
- We need to send ten attendees
- Sept. 3, from 10Am-4PM
- Howie: STRAW Workshop will push through next Thursday. I'll create taskings for council members
- WE got EcoSoc as a partner, and they would be providing counts.
- For the medicine kit, naibigay ko na sa guard.
- Carlos: Can we release a pub mat?
- Howie: I'll be releasing an infographic, aper the pub of the STRAW Workshop
- Emira: As a whole ba yung pag-release ng Core?
- Carlos: For the release of Core roster of members
- Carlos: We'll repub the Core pubmat. Now, aper that, let's allot one session to assign the Core members to the Council Members, then we'll negotiate na lang about it.
- Jackie: Regarding Core Repub, pwede bang tanggalin na yung sa Schoolympics Director? We contacted people personally, and right now, we have a head na.
- Carlos: For the freshies, do you have a Core structure in mind?
- Carlos: Normally, may director for acads, pub, finance, etc.
- Carlos: Let's repub this weekend?
- Consensus: This Saturday.
- Carlos: By tomorrow night, send na kay Tin yung updated Core structure. For the freshies, you have until Saturday to send to Tin.
- Chito: Can we make it less hassle to fill out? Let's see which stuff can be removed.
- Jem: I think it's a crazy-long form. I think we just have their name, choices, and put one big box for all of their qualification
- Joel: I'll be getting the money from Dea. The amount is Php 57,000.
- Joel: I wasn't able to thoroughly explain the forms and systems last time.
- Joel presents protocols for Budget reports.
- Budget report submission is per semester, PDFs divided into months.
- Note: Fill out both pages.
- Processing: 2 working days.
- Processing: Favorable budget report: Fin councilor will sign the PDF then send it to the Sec councilor, who will send it back to you.
- Loan assistance: Loan approval will depend on two criteria: -priority and feasibility of project
- Flow of documents:
- Financial forms
- Finance Councilor
- Secretariat Councilor
- Council member who requested
- For Petty Cash
- tect the ff. details: purpose, amount, and meet-up locaLon/Lme
- Penalties
- late submission of BRPs and FTs - for each day of late submission, 10% of your budget will be covered by your own fundraiser
- there can also be possible cap on budget for next semester
- Carlos: Do batchreps still raise ○ their own funds?
- Consensus: Yes.
- Jackie: Kahit simple fundraisers, kailangan mag-send ng forms?
- Joel: I'm still thinking of changing the rules of sending your financial forms. Two weeks for major events, and one week for minor events.
- Chito: Kailangan pa bang mag-send ng financial form if galing sa sariling pera?
- Joel: Yes. Indicate na lang as donaLon/good will.
- Joel: As you know, our appeals have been denied by the Administration, acc. to the UP SESC
- Carlos: There's no rule that prevents you from being a Councilor. Only the qualification of becoming a Councilor. Ma'am Kraft said that he is still administratively under UPSE
- Aaron: Legally, there is no problem. We should consider the implications of appointing someone else.
- Carlos: Implications of this?
- Carlos: How do we defend it to the student body?
- Trina: For me, Joel was elected by the people. The students should also understand why he stays, because this is his commitment to them.
- Pat: For me, I don't think that one mistake, like his dismissal, should define him and his last year in Econ.
- Jem: I want Joel to stay, but I think it's bad branding for Council.
- Aaron: I don't think branding is the only thing that we have to be concerned about.
- Gabbi: Is this the first case that we had this?
- Carlos: Parang no pa, kasi kung meron, eh di sana meron na sa Constitution
- Consensus: To table the resolution until the next meeting
- Lem: Welcome to council! I've already updated you so far.
- Lem: Someone gave me an invtation to enroll to the TAYO awards. Carlos: Please give us more information regarding this. Lem: We need to have an event. I'll update you guys about it.
- Lem: I need Core. If anyone's interested, please tell me who and I'll try to persuade them.
- Lem: Regarding the KOPIKO, it's already in the description sidebar in our FB group. It's an objective and key response system, you'll put there all your projects and initiatives and how you intend to achieve your objectives The instructions are ther.e
Lem: Tin, we need to finish the council board. Tin: I need more help in that since my Core's not functioning well. Lem: Can we set one day? Tin: Monday? Lem: Reminder, we have Schoolympics and we have photoshoot. Tin: The photoshoot's 10-12. Lem: Please ask if we can do it in the afternoon. Can we use the studio for 1 hour? Tin: It's a minimum of 2 hours. What time in the afternoon? Jackie: Schoolympics is until 12nn. Tin: I'll ask. - Tin: Is it okay for per house to be assigned a hugot quote of the week?
- Lem: I need the template for the tidbits. Tin: Okay. Howie: I'll give the template later.
- Lem: If you ever need council room or reservations or whatever services, accomplish the internals council services form. It needs 3 working days.
- Lem: Liquidation of shirts, Joel when will you remove these shirts? Joel: I'm waiting for ??? Lem: Please liquidate it by the end of next month.
- Lem: For recyclables, Joel please remove the stuff outside the council room.
- Lem: House C will be handling CouncilBits for next week. House B has a deduction. For House C, you need CouncilBits twice for the week with reminders for the week, headlines of the day, inspirational quote of the day, and who's that council member. Please give it to me in the morning. During GA, you need to deliver the GA tidbits AKA World News, Local News, UP News, LOL news.
- Lem: Thank you for keeping this room clean.
