- Local news: Leila files suit vs. Marcos burial
- UP news: DENR envisions Arboretum development with informal settlers as partners
- LOL news: Singer Chris Brown arrested on weapons charge; James Reid supports same-sex marriage
- Paje: Setting-up was kind of a breeze. It was kind of a scramble. AFter setting-up, the program started, and the games started, and it got a little messy. Everytime there was a game, it was kind of hilo-hilo.
- Points for improvement: My team was not available for a pretevent meeting. I think the program can be remedied by a very specific program script.
- The tech run started super late
- The hosts were not briefed that well
- Over-all:
- The food was good
- The photobooth was nice as well
- The fact that there was an element of competion was okay.
- Comments:
- Guingon: The order of geWng food was kind of messy.
- Andaya: The powerpoint. There were times when there are no people assigned to the move the slide along.
- Ronsayro: For documentation, hindi tayo nakapag-assign ng documenter
- Cabaero: Can we make it a rule in the future that will handle documentation in our other events
- Balindong: Maganda yung publicity ng acquaintance.
- Sales: I hope there were clear instructions of the games para faster rin yung flow
- Guingon: There were solid prizes rin, which we're gonna claim on Friday
- Andaya: I think pwede yung games na involved talaga more people per batch.
- Paje: For transparency, these games were not tested by my Core.
- Cabaero: I like how nag-effort lahat ng batch performances for this year.
- Cabaero: I think with regard to what Paje said about set-up was 1PM. If you're available to help set-up, please do. The main reason na-move yung ibang bagay was because there were few people for ingress
- Cabaero: How was the hatak, batch reps?
- Andaya: I think without the rain, there would've been more people
- Balindong: I think let's try na mag-include ng graduate students next year?
- Guingon: Okay naman 'yung hatak. May nangyari lang, pero okay naman.
- Lobo: Madali naman for the people na andito, pero 'yung iba na galing sa province, umuwi na talaga
- Cabaero: Some people raised issues about the publicity. There was a number of people that were saying that nagmukha naman siyang party.
- Balindong: Siguro nagkaganoon kasi 'yung ibang events hindi rin pantay ang publicty
- Paje: For Acquaintance, we've never used people before
- Dumalaog: I think the main problem was the rain. And we could've started on time. Basketball started on time.
- Points for improvement:
- The venue
- The timing. Super aga pala ng August.
- Dumalaog: Hopefully, pwede bang mag-change ng schedule. Because of the availability of the venue na rin for basketball and volleyball.
- Nagka-problem rin ako with scoring etc. because wala pa akong Core
- Hindi rin natapos ang volleyball between. Juniors and Seniors because of bad weather.

- Balindong: Can we look into the possibility of using UP Dorms?
- Dumalaog: For basketball kasi, may venue na ako for that. For volleyball na lang.
- Comendador: What about the standard rules of volleyball?
- Dumalaog: Well it's up to the discretion of the volleyball referee.
- Cabaero: For the BReps, may problem ba with transpo?
- Comendador: I think maganda na kanya-kanya
- Cabaero: Meron bang tingin dito na magandang mag carpool?
- Galano: Ano yung times ng ibang event?
- Dumalaog: Basketball is 10-12pm. And for volleyball, mas gusto nila na weekday after class.
- Cabaero: Siguro in the future, let's set rules about defaults, because eventually, we need to be standard about it. Maganda rin siguro magkaroon ng live tweeting

- Cabaero: I think we should mind the supporters as well
- Balindong: Can we look into the possibility of using UP Dorms?
- Santos: Papalitan ko na yung photos sa website by tonight, and baka matapos ko siya tomorrow. I think we can just relaunch the website na rin.
- Santos: Kung complete na rin pala yung Core, meron rin kasing part dito na "The Core". Kailangan lang ng pictures for this
- Santos: For the Bulletin Board, cut-out na siya, kailangan na lang lagyan ng tape para mailagay na.

- Gemzontan: Our concern about this is that there are gonna be two forums, one of which is directly in conflict with us. According to ETC, if you guys don't want to pursue federalism, we could go for a topic that is broader. However, the topic of Kape is normally debatable, so Reini and I are keen on keeping the topic of federalism
- Balindong: The topic of Ayala is federalism?
- Gemzontan: Yes. Flat-out.

- Galano: I think we have to find a way to stand out. Do you have other topics in mind?
- Gemzontan: I think the program will revolve around the history of federalism, the economic consequences, and speakers who are for and against it.
- Gemzontan: We can't adjust the topic from scratch because we've sent out marketing letters bearing the topic of federalism.
- Sanchez: The forum that you were saying is the forum that I mentioned last week?
- Gemzontan: Yes
- Balindong: I think Ayala caters to a different audience, catering more to professionals and faculty members.
- Gemzontan: I think the problem is having speakers, kasi the big-time speakers have already been booked to fora that also ventures into federalism.
- Commendador: May kilala akong directly concerned with the Duterte government.
- Gemzontan: I think you could refer them naman directly to us.
- Galano: I think we have to find a way to stand out. Do you have other topics in mind?
- Sanchez: The most expensive is Php325. For South Rep, it's Php340, but not embroidered. For dri-fit from South Rep is Php345. Comments?
- Cabaero: Yung Padre Pio na polo shirt, how's the quality
- Sanchez: I haven't seen the shirt itself, but I'm aware of the project from UP Circle of Entrepreneurs' shirts that use the same material
- Cabaero: Do we go with Padre Pio or South Rep for the polo shirt?

- Gemzontan: Situationer this Friday. Program starts at 4:15 pm. Council should be there at around 3PM. We're gonna have opening remarks by Jem, Ma'am Kraft will present Admin's plans, but just a short Q&A. Then SESC presentation, followed by USC presentation, SESC-USC Q&A, then certificates awarding, then closing remarks.
- Gemzontan: I need registration help, but I need one extra laptop (voluntee by Howie).

- Gemzontan: We released a pubmat last night.

- Gemzontan: I wanted to make it a lot more of just one Acad Alliance. Math 17 will be handled ETC, Math 102 by OBEM and Ecosoc, Econ 106 Balanquit will be handled by OBEM. For Econ 101 and 102, we'll be having a pool of tutors, and we'll be doing it discussion group-style. I want it to be 1 tutor to 5 students, para hindi na siya so focused on different orgs. One problem we have is Econ 131 Jandoc and Florentino. All of the orgs were hesitant in handling it. But we're gonna ask around how their classes work. With Econ 106 Navarro, no one wanted to commit. Our stop-gap measure now is that Tricia Cañaveral can handle it together with her old classmates. And for Econ 11, we'll try to do a collective effort as well of orgs. What I need is Academics Directors per batch so that we could easily coordinate it. Econ 131 Navarro by Ecosoc, and Econ 131 Yap by all orgs.
- Gemzontan: I'll be coordinating all administrative needs and relay that info to Acad Alliance, Acad Directors, and SEAC Orgs
- Ronsayro: Because unresponsive ang RCY, baka i-move ko uli yung STRAW Workshop.
- The first-aid kit, nasa guard na. It's functioning, together with a list of drugs. I also asked Dianne Losa to make a small pub-mat, to be posted with our batch groups.
- For STRAW Talk, I might move it to accommodate the Pride Week.
- Sanchez: Someone sent pala a partnership from UP PsychSoc regarding a talk for mental health
- Cabaero: We need to voice out our perspectives about this. According to Ma'am Krai, Joel is s9ll an Econ student. Any manifestations
- Gemzontan: The way I see it, Joel should stay. My concern is when the next semester starts, your presence might not be felt in Econ
- Guingon: I think for Joel's case now, we just accept it as it is, but we should remedy the loophole in the future.
- Andaya: I think Joel should stay, for this sem. People might think that Council is not able to have another Finance Councilor.
- Galano: I think we should compartmentalize this discussion. you can't really say on whether Joel should stay or not, because it's really arbitrary.
- Cabaero: Given the merits and stances on his case, do you think Joel should still stay in Council
- Ronsayro: Gusto ko makarinig ng points why he shouldn't stay.
- Gemzontan: It could have an effect on branding on Council. That scares me when we relaunch the page. It could send a negative message with Council not being able to handle their grades, though his case might not necessarily reflect that. If there are people outside of Econ that hears this, then others might raise the point that we're not following the rules.
- Cabaero: If Joel stays, knowing that he's gonna leave for the next semester; then he could prepare a transition for his leaving.
- Gemzontan: While there's a good merits of an early dismissal so that we could have a longer time to adjust, I think the idea of him staying for the first semester to adjust is better.
- Licup: In response to the bad branding, I think we should put it in my context. I don't think I would be branded as a Councilor who didn't do well on his grades, because I wasn't even given the chance to lift my probationary status.
- Guingon: Pero siguro hindi 'yun alam ng buong Econ. Tayo lang 'yun.
- Consensus: To table the resolution of Joel's dismissal. To convene the Constitution Commission
