- GA Tidbits
- World: Wells Fargo Chief forfeits $41m amid corruption probe
- National: Duterte seeks alliance with China and Russia
- UP: List of nominees for UP President has been released
- LOL: Pen pineapple apple pen takes the world by storm
- Lantern parade updates
- Kiss: We'll be having a design contest for the lantern, with 10k prize, open to all students, faculty, and alumni, where they'll be able to form groups.
- October 10 - October 24 is the duration
- The designs will be submitted through SESC email or to the office of Sir Arcenas
- It will be judged acc. to the relation to the theme, feasibility of the design, orgiginality, creative-use of econ concepts, and overall impact
- Paano pala yung sa feasibility, since Econ will only give 10-15k for the lantern budget.
- Kiss: Well, we could add it here naman.
- Carlos: According to Ma'am Kraft, ang plano ng faculty is ibabalik sa students ang lantern.
- Kiss: Well, the last time na we talked to Sir Arcenas, I'll clrify again if we still have a portion from the Manulife winnings

- Kevin: WE have 5 teams for this.
- Programs - kailangan lang mag-draft ng list of speakers. 12 electives ang ico-cover: Pol Sci, speech, languages, BA, geog, CMC, CHE, Eduk, Math and Stat, Chop suey, tourism, and anthropology
- ESC: add Philo, English, CSWCD

- BRA Outreach
- Trina: I talked to Habitat for Humanity, but they said that there is still no official response.
- Jackie: May nakita rin si Trina na outreach sa Batangas, although may pasok kinabukasan.
- Trina: The available dates are Oct 17 or Nov 7.
- Jem: For me, let's stick with Habitat, since it already has a good reputation, and I think it can help with the attendance.
- Consensus: SESC will partner with Habitat for Humanity. Priority is Nov. 7.
- Kapekonomiya and NYC updates
- Jem: We've already sent out marketing letters and contacted the OSA and Community Affairs office. For NYC, Dale wanted me to say that if pwede, everyone can go on both days. We're also switching the venue. We moved from NIP to UPSE Auditorium. Being a volunteer, you should be available on both days of NYC

- Tin: Hindi ko alam kung kailan pwede mag-post ang SEAC orgs since kakausapin pa si Pat. Hindi ko pa rin mapa-print yung mga pictures since wala pang budget from Joel.
- Lem: I have assigned liaison officers from Sec Core for the different spaces of the bulletin board.

- Teacher's Week
- Lem: I already divided tasks to my Core for Alay sa Personnel. Aly is assigned to get money from the SEAC organizations. I assigned Kayla, Aly, and Renzo to create an employee primer. Renzo is assigned to programs of Alay sa Personnel. We're thinking if we'll create care packages for all the personnel. I also want the orgs to give something to each personnel, so what I did is divided the personnel to the orgs and they'll create video tributes. We just need to reserve the room by tonight or tomorrow. We'll need attendance and more people.
- Carlos: How much will you charge per org? Lem: Last year it was Php 500. This year, the cost will be less because we have more money. If ever there's extra, we'll give it back to them.
- Lem: I have a problem w/ food. We have so much to do on the day itself, can Internals handle food? Miguel: Okay.
- Paje: I talked to my Core na and this is what's gonna happen: it's gonn be two separate days in the week. There's gonna be a point person per class, and he/she has to collect notes and messages for the teachers. We already have the class list, and we already have assigned contact persons per class. We're also gonna have free cupcakes for the teachers, personalized with the name on top.

- STRAW Updates
- Howie: Dapat kahapon ang STRAW Talk, but since the speaker was busy; imo-move siya sa October 11. The topic involves teen depression and suicide. Try ko ring humanap ng isa pang teen speaker about this, though we're trying to find a professor as well. We're also working on the infographic for health.
- For STRAW Fair, it's next week na. Kailangan ko lang ng tables, kasi if kumuha kasi ako sa lounge, baka maubusan ng napakaraming tables do'n.
- Dear STRAW, wala namang bago. Question, may nakakaalam ba kung bakit wala sina Tita Ging kanina?
- Gabbi: 'Yung mga nagka-klase sa Audi, sana paki-remind sila na huwag magkalat sa loob ng Audi, kasi sobrang dumi.
- For the library, huwag kayong mahiyang sabihan sina ate sa library para hindi maingay.
- Social Entrepreneurship

- Emira: We can also count it with CDC
- We can also partner with UP GK, though ic-contact pa 'yung partnership natin with them.

- Stata seminar
- Aaron: Next week, Thursday, is the Stata seminar for the Seniors. I just wanna know if it's redundant to have a Stata seminar about this, since may Stata seminars na every Saturday.
- Tin: I think, wala masyadong matututunan sa Stata seminar, and medyo masungit rin 'yung prof. 'Yung mga tinuturo rin lang kasi niya, puro mga basic parts ng Stata.
- Aaron: I was thinking na magkaroon na lang ng isang consultation part and kind of lecture rin.
- Emira: Feel ko, if they really want to attend the Stata seminars on Wednesdays, hindi rin lahat nakapag sign-up.
- Tin: I think maganda ring if makapagbigay kayo ng Stata command booklet, na compiled na lahat d'on.
- Consensus: It's gonna be like a Stata consultation. Students have to bring their own data sets and let master's students see their model, and give students a compiled set of commands for Stata.
